Problem and Solution

This self-initiated project stems from a deep personal commitment to improving onboarding experiences across organizations. With a background in management, work-life training, and HR, I’ve seen firsthand how impactful well-executed onboarding can be—and how costly it is when done poorly.

Too often, managers and others responsible for onboarding are left without adequate support or tools. There’s an assumption that they naturally know how to transfer knowledge and help new hires settle in, but the reality is quite different. Many new employees face unclear expectations, ineffective training methods, or a lack of support. While HR focuses on getting the hire in the door and leadership expects immediate productivity, the person delivering onboarding is left to figure it out alone, often defaulting to methods that suit their own style rather than the learner’s.

This course aims to bridge that gap.

Onboarding Essentials is an interactive e-learning course that helps managers and onboarding leads develop the skills to deliver learner-centric, psychologically safe, and compelling onboarding experiences. It consists of three scenario-based modules, each grounded in real-world challenges. Learners explore branching scenarios, apply practical tools, and receive feedback that supports skill-building in context.
